San Juan Unified School District open enrollment runs every January.  Do you know anyone looking to enroll their child next school year?  If so, have them come to Cowan’s Parent Info Night.  The first part is a presentation for incoming Kinder families and new families.  Prospective families will get to meet the amazing Kindergarten teaching team and primary/upper grade teacher representatives to learn what the Cowan program has to offer – from curriculum to activities, projects to field trips, technology and much, much more.  Families will learn why Cowan is a school of excellence, and why enrolling their child at Cowan is the first step to a successful journey.

Next, we would like to extend an invitation to all 5th grade families to come join us for the second part of the Parent Information Night.  This will be a special presentation by the 6th grade teaching team.  Get to know the teachers, see sample work and a slideshow, learn about our curriculum and program, get a sneak peak at field trips and projects, and get excited for the year-end celebrations.  Over the past several years, San Juan has shown its support for Cowan’s 6th grade program, and this year through the configuration survey, parents were heard loud and clear – Keep 6th Grade at Cowan!  Learn what makes 6th grade the happy ending to a wonderful Cowan story.  Cowan 6th grade is the best of both worlds:  a challenging middle school curriculum in a nurturing elementary environment.
